With the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 behind us, we decide to once and for all (until there’s more movies) rank the MCU Movie Villains! Well… we knock out the Top 10, anyway. And, Thanos isn’t #1!

Spoiler alert for any previous MCU film including Endgame and Far From Home!

We also talk news including NBC’s new stream app, Peacock, coming in 2020 with various reboots and The Office, we talk Birds of Prey’s first poster, Ghostbuster 2020 casting, the most recently canceled Marvel show, and our thoughts on Tony Stark appearing in the Black Widow film.

MCU Villains – A Ranking

Mystery Men 20th Anniversary Review

20 years ago, 1999 brought us some classic cinema like The Matrix, Fight Club, American Beauty, and The Sixth Sense. It brought the resurgence of long dead franchises like Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. We saw some truly bad movies like Wild Wild West and were treated with true gems like Iron Giant and Galaxy Quest. But we also received one of the weirdest superhero films to date, Mystery Men. Let’s celebrate 20 years of the satirical superhero flick in the wake of Amazon’s The Boys.

Plus, we talk the latest news in entertainment including Disney’s slashing of 20th Century Fox films, CBS & Viacom reuniting Star Trek, Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, and more!

Mystery Men 20th Anniversary Review

Top 20 Arrowverse Heroes

The CW’s Arrowverse keeps on growing, seemingly adding new heroes every few weeks. Well, this week, we sit down with two returning guests to rank the Top 20 Arrowverse heroes. What are the rules? The hero needs to have been on at least one of Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, or Legends of Tomorrow. We are not counting Black Lightning for two reasons: 1. He hasn’t crossed over to the other shows yet. 2. We haven’t done our homework on that show and don’t want to do anyone a disservice. Everyone else who has suited up at one point or another is up for grabs!

What do you think of our Top 20 Arrowverse Hero ranking? Who are your top heroes? Did we get close? Any news you’re excited about? Let us know!

Welcome to Earth-2 Ep 06: Ryan and the Hologram

Ryan, being stuck on Earth-2 for six weeks now, is feeling a little down but then again, maybe he made it with a hologram! Tune in to find out.

Will Ryan put his foot in his mouth yet again?  Will Ryan ever check out his new room? Would you do it with a hologram?

Listen in, and perhaps those questions will be answered.

Somehow, in a major plot hole that will likely never be explained, Ryan can still receive email on Earth-2, so send him one at Earth2@heroespodcasts.com!  He might even read it in the next episode.  Don’t like Ryan?  We don’t blame you!  Simply address it to another person on the show and we will make sure it gets to them.

After a month on Earth-2 Ryan finally sees Prisma in her official superhero super suit. Along the way, he meets the man behind superhero fashion who will help put together a super suit just for Ryan while he’s on Earth-2.

Will Ryan put his foot in his mouth?  Will Ryan’s super suit be super lame?

Listen in, and perhaps those questions will be answered.

Screen Heroes and the entire network are proud to announce a new weekly segment: THE GAUNTLET! Join Jeremy from Redshirts & Runabouts and Saturday Morning Tooncast and Rae from Costume Couture and Screen Heroes on their epic rewatch of the MCU films starting with Iron Man. That’s right, every week, we’re talking about one of the many stops on the road to Thanos and Avengers: Infinity War.

Our first episode is none other than Iron Man, the one that started it all. We’re not really reviewing the films, but moreover discussing what details a rewatch can bring. We’ll talk the casting, the controversy, and our favorite parts as we go through the next 18 weeks.

If you already subscribe to Screen Heroes, then you’ll get these bonus episodes every Sunday! Not subscribe? Subscribe today on Apple Podcasts, Blog Talk Radio, Spreaker, Google Play, or just drop in our RSS feed. All the links are below!

Ranking the Avengers Characters

Costume Couture: DC Superhero Girls

Many superhero and villain costumes come off as being a little too adult for kids. You’ve got the classic Powergirl boob window and Starfire showing off a lot of skin. Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn aren’t exactly the most child friendly characters out there either. So, DC Entertainment had their work cut out for them when they decided to bring an animated series to young girls, DC Superhero Girls. The show start in 2015 as a webseries with one straight to DVD movie. DC Superhero Girls includes class good guys like Wonder Woman and Batgirl, plus some villain and anti-hero types like Harley and Ivy.

This week, we talk about their costumes and styles, looking and how DC Superheroe Girls was able to bring these characters to young girls without totally losing who they are while keeping them appropriate.
