Infinity War 67: Picking the Heroes

Transcribed from Screen Heroes, S1, E6 “Infinity War 67.”

When Marvel Studios announced the two-part Infinity War film, they said that there was an opportunity for 67 characters to be in the film. Since then, they have explained that it was an arbitrary number they just pulled out of thin air, but for fun, we wanted to pick out 67 Marvel characters that COULD make it into Infinity War.

The Veterans

The Newbies

The Guardians

The Defenders

The Back Up

The Agents

The Villains

The Unknown

The Asgardians

This episode was recorded before the release of Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Since then, more information regarding  Infinity War has been released as well as the movies leading up to it in the MCU.  Remember to take all of this with a grain of salt and the fun that it was supposed to provide.

Finn Jones is Iron Fist

The last Defender to be cast in the Netflix corner of the MCU is Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones.

Joining Netflix Original Series Marvel’s Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage, Iron Fist will revolve around the titular hero, a New York native who learned the mystical powers of martial arts found in the lost city of K’un-L’un.

Jones, who plays Ser Loras Tyrell on Game of Thrones, has also been seen in British show Hollyoakes. Dexter alum Scott Buck has been opted for showrunner.

While an Iron Fist date is still unknown, expect to see him show up in Luke Cage considering they are superhero besties. The second season of Daredevil drops March 18th, a week ahead of DC Entertainment’s and Warner Bros’ Bamtan vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, with Luke Cage and Jessica Jones slated for later this year.

What do you think of the casting choice? Are you excited to see Iron Fist come to life as a Netflix Original Series? Comment below with your thoughts!
