We return to our Bad Movie Reviews segment to discuss the 1997 film that ended the first live action Batman film franchise, Batman & Robin. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, yeah the villain got top billing, this George Clooney led Batman flick took things from Batman Forever even further with more toy-based set pieces, worse fighting, and more campy dialogue.

Plus, we talk MCU news including the return of Tony Stark, along with Nicolas Cage playing Nicolas Cage, our first look at a Kingdom Come Batman for Crisis on Infinite Earths, and more!

Bad Movie Reviews: Batman & Robin (1997)

Costume Couture: DC Superhero Girls

Many superhero and villain costumes come off as being a little too adult for kids. You’ve got the classic Powergirl boob window and Starfire showing off a lot of skin. Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn aren’t exactly the most child friendly characters out there either. So, DC Entertainment had their work cut out for them when they decided to bring an animated series to young girls, DC Superhero Girls. The show start in 2015 as a webseries with one straight to DVD movie. DC Superhero Girls includes class good guys like Wonder Woman and Batgirl, plus some villain and anti-hero types like Harley and Ivy.

This week, we talk about their costumes and styles, looking and how DC Superheroe Girls was able to bring these characters to young girls without totally losing who they are while keeping them appropriate.

Batman has a lot of sidekicks. In fact, there are several different versions of Robin not to mention Batgirl, Batwoman, his trusty butler, and Commissioner Gordon, among others. We sit down to rank the Top 14 Batman Sidekicks and then we each throw in our wildcard to round out the 15. We look over each version of Robin plus many other characters who have stood along side the Dark Knight, some even wearing the cowl. Listen in for our ranking and then let us know what your list looks like. Did we leave anyone off? Did we rank someone too high or too low? Let us know in the comments below.
